To prolong the vase life:
1. Remove flowers from the bouquet package upon receipt
2. Wash away any floral foam (if any)
3. Prepare a clean vase(s) with 10-15 cm of water or 1/4 stem length in the water
4. Add flower food (substitution:little bit of bleach and sugar) to the water to enhance longevity
5. Cut the stems at 45 degree angle at 2cm above the bottom of stem or any rotten stem using sharp scissors to improve water absorption
6. Place the flowers into the vase(s)
7. Change water every 2-3 days or when it appears yellow and cloudy
8. Remove any leaves in water to prevent bacterial growth
9. When changing water, clean the vase(s), refill water food, wash and re-cut the stems in the way mentioned above
10. Maintain room temperature between 18-22°C
11. Keep flowers away from wind, heat sources, direct sunlight, and ripening fruit
12. Ensure air circulation.
Special Flower Care
*Hydrangeas:
1. Highly susceptible to dehydration;
2. Remove blooms and place in a separate tall vase with water as deep as the whole stem soaked
3. Mist blooms daily to maintain hydration by sprinkling water or covering with a mask overnight.
4. Change water every 2 days and re-cut stems at a 45-degree angle just above a leaf node, splitting the stem up the middle for 1 to 2 inches
5. If dehydrated, soak the petals with the blooms upside down in water for several hours.
*Sunflowers:
1. Avoid over watering, low water level is better;
2. Provide daily sunlight
